Edgy Floral with Heart Shaped Sunglasses OOTD| Spring/Summer 2015 ♡

Fashionista Friday !

Oh, hello thin leather in the sun! This is a fun outfit that I wore that was appropriate and semi appropriate for all the events that I went to this particular weekend. It was my outfit for a commissioning ceremony but my hair was just down and the glasses weren't on. I went to a first birthday party for the cutest little twins, then I went to the fair. 

That was a very eventful day. I wish my whole life could be as eventful as that one day was. Do tell me if there is a profession where they will pay me to travel the world and document it? I'm down for new adventures in a crazy busy life. Someone help me find my life's passion! 

But I got to see my bestest friend Briana and spent the day with my other BFFL Erin. So all-in-all it was such a fun filled time. Outfit details below!

How to Dress up a Sweater| OOTO♡

Outfit of the Occasion 

Hey Dollies, So I decided that I was going to give you guys some outfit details on this outfit I wore a couple weeks ago. I got tons of compliments on this sweater so I figured I would share it with my Dollies! 

Outfit:

Below each picture I give you where I found each of the items. The shoes which are not pictured where from Cato's a simply black bootie.

This snug leather jacket is from Zara

Makeup:

I did a very very simple look just foundation, some concealer to highlight, a little blush and some mascara. I wanted to be really simplistic since I was going to a semi professional event.

This GORGEOUS sweater is from Uptown Cheapskates

 Hair:

Funny story on the hair actually. My weave was looking SOOO ratchet, we'll talk about that later, so I had to put it up somehow. So I put my hair in a side ponytail near the base of my neck. I then split the pony into two ponies and three strand braided them. After I did that wrapped them around the base of my ponytail holder to create a bun.

With the hair in the front that didn't quite make it to the pony tail I simply laid them down and created a curl with bobby pins. I wish I could show you what I did but that angle wasn't working for me that night.

Even though my weave was awful my hair turned out looking great for the occasion (and these pictures), which was all that really mattered.

2 Fall Cardigan and Boot OOTD + Styling Tips !♡

Fall into Fashion

Ehh. What a cliche ?! But fall is one of my very favorite seasons for two main reasons. One being my birthday (October 22- I'll be 21 next week wooo), and the other would be for my deep deep love for cardigans and cute boots and booties!

So like every fall I destroy the Internet looking for fall fashion inspiration, but this year was a little different. I decided NOT to look for style/styling information and just go with my own style and give my own fashion inspiration for you guys. I decided to instead further develop my unique sense of style rather than just conforming and trying to fit in. But first let me explain my style to you. 

I am a very low maintance type of girl. I usually take 10-20 in the morning to get ready (depending on if I will shower in the morning or did at night). So to read in between the lines, I choose more sleep over cute outfits pretty much everyday of the week. Just being honest. So I call them the three struggles of getting ready, so in the morning I pic a struggle. Whether to do my hair, wear make up, or wear an cute outfit. Because in the short time I give my self each morning I can't do it all. Although you may think it and I may wish and dream it, but I am not actually Wonder Woman. Sorry for the let down. 

I am despite what people think of me am very minimalistic. However I do it in an ultra chic way. Well I think so anyway. I only stretch for all three on the weekend when I actually see people, which is where the nonbelief is steamed.

My styling tips:

*When your outfit is so simple like mine I quite often like to add a cool hair style to complement it. Here I simply sectioned off all the hair across the front of my head and did a two strand flat twist. I secured the twist behind my ear with two bobby pins, wavy side down, and put the rest in a messy bun. 

Make up in minimal. BB cream, concealer, blush and Mascara. Took all of 3.5 minutes.

My styling tips:

When wearing items that can be oversized I like to add a belt to help define some sort of shape so you don't just look like you're hiding in a huge fat man sweater. (Not that there's anything wrong with fat men. They are kinda cool, and squishy like a teddy bear and silly puddy. Sorry, tangent.)

Wearing your hair (or weave) down gives you some more breaking up of your body and gives a more carefree look.

So today on #FashionistaFriday I have a look for you which happens to also be a #FlashbackFriday of this OOTD (outfit of the day). Just using as many hashtags as I can today obviously. The bodycon dress is from pink from a Victoria's Secret semi annual sale many years ago. 

The black and pick floral top I got from TJ Maxx over the summer. 

The gold bow belt to tie me together was from Forever 21. 

One thing about me is that I looovvveeee a good flowy top. I just feel free in loose tops.

OCC Lip Tar:Matte | Tarred♡

Hello My B-E-A-U-tiful Dollies !

Today I just wanted to show you all this black lipstick I just got. It is a lip tar by OCC, Obsessive Complesive Cosmetics, in the color Tarred. Y'all I have been searching high and low for this lipstick in Sephora's all over the state. I was at a Sephora and they had it as a sample but there were none on the shelf. So in the market for a black lip stick I tried it on and see what it was all about. *inserts heart eye emoji* it was everything then some. 

Well as all good things are, it's hard to find. The lady told me they were literally flying off the shelf. So after 4 different Sephora's in 3 different towns, it was like a beam of light straight from heaven tunneled down to the last one on the shelf. When I seen it I thought it was a mirage, y'all I have to check my pulse, squint my eyes. It was alllllmost too good to be true. 

Safe to say I just found a new lip obsession. I wore it this weekend and literally all eyes on me, well my lips. Definitely for the flashier dolls out there. Luckily I'm the flashy type, so I'll be bold for you guys if you don't want to be. 

I'm in a black lipstick kick, I might just have a little something up my sleeve. You guys just sit back, relax, and let mama Lai entertain you.

OOTD: Charlotte International Fashion Week ♡

Hey Dollies !!! 

So as promised here is the look I will be wearing tonight ! I am going to Charlotte International Fashion Week here in North Carolina and I am literally thrilled. I'm so happy I could scream *cyber scream*! Im so glad the weather here got better so that I can actually go, we had a snow storm and got 8-10 inches of snow in two days ! Crazy right?

Birdies && Vintage Steps♡

"First Friday"

There were totally 50 people behind my photographer.
I felt like a street performer, I totally ate all that attention up.

First Friday is an event that is held downtown every, duh, first friday. This Fridays theme was community art. They had lots of local artists and photographers on show case. They also had an Indie Market were lots of handmade and vintage things were sold. So I decided to go super causal and cute with my outfit.

I'm wearing my favorite jean jacket, that I totally got on sale for $20 at Abercombie & Fitch, which I thought really complemented to my uber cute birdie dress! My birdie dress which of course also a steal, I got this cutie from Macy's for $10, is a sweetheart neckline empire waist dress (that was a mouthful). Also paired them with my time favorite sandals this summer. 

*Random fact about me: I don't believe in sandals that go through your toes, its a sin.

To go with the theme of birds I decided to wear my birds on a branch necklace. I also incorporated a pink and gold belt to break up my waist and give me a bit of a defined shape. I lost a lot of shape with the heavy print, dark color, and the jacket so breaking up my body was a must. You can see a small sliver of my knuckle ring which I made. It's just a scissor charm. I also wore an ear cuff (which was mistaken for a leaf in my hair by a silly human and these three dimensional triangle earrings which were also gold.

Said I Meet Her At Coachella♡

Oh Coachella Coachella !

So as many of you know Coachella is like a musical hippie fest. Although it is known for its awesome musical performances and AMAZBALL artists and big picnic like setting with all the who's who cool kids its also known for its fashion. Its a guarantee that you'll see ALL the hottest trends at the Coachella festivities. So in light of Coachella being these next coming weekends I decided that I shall make an "I wish I was going" mini Look Book ! sounds totally cool huh ? I think so lol. Weelll for this first look here I have my Floral Kimono ensemble which I will be calling... hmm, not sure what Im gonna call it maybe it'll come to me in the next few sentences. You know what maybe I'll just call it the Floral Kimono Ensemble... yeah I think thats what I'll do.

This is probably my FAV outfit of the three. This shirt just screeeaaammms Coachella lol. Doesn't it just look like the Coachella flyer ?! Im obsessed with this outfit. You'll totally steal the show, you will be Coachella, sounds a lil creepy but whateves.

Well those are the three fits I have for you today lovely ladies. Enjoy Coachella for me ! I think Im gonna wear the Miss Ella outfit to the Kendrick Lamar Concert... maybe... idk yet lol. Don't quote me.
